My Gay Agenda Is...

Many accuse the LGBTQ community of trying to spread the gay agenda, but what exactly is the gay agenda? More than repealing Section 377A or having marriage equality, “My Gay Agenda Is…” shows the authentic voices, concerns, and most importantly, hopes with LGBTQ acceptance and equality in Singapore through your contributions.

In 2017, controversy sparked when a gay man who wore a ``Gay But Not Yet Equal`` singlet to a public gym was accused of spreading the gay agenda. This triggered a collaboration between Inter-University LGBT Network, Singapore and I to design T-shirts voicing out 11 queer Singaporeans' hopes and dreams of LGBTQ equality in Singapore - aka their gay agendas. These shirts were then sold and funds raised were donated to Oogachaga, Singapore’s pioneer LGBTQ organisation.
A year later, the project is evolved to expand the reach and have people contribute their gay agendas through a website. Tackling the discriminatory regulations in the Pink Dot space, ``My Gay Agenda Is...`` also aims to include the voices of those who are not able to attend the yearly rally event.
